SO. . .My wife invited me to blog on here a long long time ago. I'm not sure what the expectations were, but I'm on now and thought that I would write a few things. Calley doesn't know I'm writing so I suppose this will be a surprise for her too :)
I've actually blogged a little bit in the past, albeit infrequent and rather odd. . .(please see http://themustelidae.blogspot.com/ for a reference.) I don't plan on trying to keep things as normal as possible. Calley is always reminding me how weird I am, to which I remind her that she married me.
Life has been really great with Calley. Though we've only been married four months, we've passed the year mark of being together. I can't imagine life without her. She loves me like I never thought anybody could love me. It is so wonderful to be able to wake up in the morning next to the one you love.
Calley puts up with my weirdness. I think that she actually kind of likes it, so I just keep getting weirder and weirder. In fact, just today Calley has had to deal with me wondering how many AA batteries it would take to run our bodies for a day, and my brilliant idea of giving people meatloaf (if you live in Logan, and I can work my magic, be on the look out for a mini-meatloaf headed your way around Christmastime).
As you may know from Calley's most recent post, please see below if you haven't read it, we headed out to Tridell this past weekend. It is a magical land. Calley's family is really something else too. I really love them. I came to realize that this past weekend. I'm extremely lucky to have them as inlaws. I'm sure some of you have horror stories, or at least have heard horror stories about bad inlaws. Mine are great. I really feel like I've joined their family and have just extended my family. Before I was married I wasn't an uncle, but now I'm the uncle of nine. . .I think nine. That's fun too. A lot of Saturday was an "Uncle Test."
Anyway, I've probably wasted a lot more of Calley's blog space than she ever intended me to take up. She might have to delete me from the blog if I reveal too many secrets. I'll just have to come in occasionally as a guest or something. Maybe I'll just make comments on her blog posts instead of actually blogging. So. . .this last paragraph is just a whole bunch of mumbo jumbo of me trying to finish my blog post. Amen.
Oh cute. I love you guys!
